The canteen is set up with a kitchen where the school caterer prepares hot lunches for those students who choose to be part of the catering program. A daily selection of additional hot meals and snacks are also prepared for students who are not part of the catering program to purchase at lunchtime and for parents and siblings to buy while waiting to collect SLK students at dismissal times. An adjoining kiosk sells hot and cold drinks and snacks.

The eating area is set up with long tables and benches for the students to sit and eat during lunch times and for parents and siblings to utilize at other times. An area for washing hands and a toilet block with separate facilities for males and females adjoins the canteen.
